Position Summary: Drive a delivery van over designated routes in accordance with established time schedules for the purpose of delivering and picking up materials, packages and/or copies, maintenance mops and rags program supplies, and deliver intra-district mail. Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Must have and maintain a current PA valid driver’s license (CDL - S endorsement –P/Air Brakes) and be insurable by the District’s Insurance Company
  • Five (5) years driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Ability to drive and maintain delivery van
  • Ability to lift eighty (80) pounds
  • Ability to load delivery van and carry equipment and materials into school buildings
  • Must be bondable
  • Must be able to do repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling
  • Must be able to do repetitive stooping, kneeling and crouching
  • Must be able to do repetitive reaching and handling of heavy materials and/or equipment
  • Possess current satisfactory performance evaluations.
  • Professional tact, diplomacy and flexibility with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and the community
  • Knowledge, skills and experience related to working with young children
  • Must hold or obtain FBI, Criminal Check, and Child Abuse Clearances.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Examples of work performed might include; but not limited to:

  • Pickup and deliver maintenance mops and rags to each District Building
  • Deliver Finance Department materials (i.e. purchase orders, etc.)
  • Deliver all administration correspondence
  • Deliver correspondence between schools
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisors of Maintenance/Transportation
