This remote Title 1 Academic Administrator Curriculum and Instruction funded position directs and coordinates curriculum and instruction activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-5pm central time. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

• Oversee the development of course content, skills, knowledge, and performance areas;
• Monitor the implementation of the curriculum;
• Use student performance data to evaluate curriculum materials and teaching strategies;
• Coordinate training to help teachers focus on district-mandated subject matter;
• Research and choose a curriculum, training, and guidance for research-based instructional best practices;
• Oversee the assessment of the curriculum;
• Ensure conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation, development and coordination activities;
• Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards;
• Manage teaching and administrative staff; Manage Master and Lead Teachers and programs;
• Help articulate the school’s mission and vision with the aim of ensuring all stakeholders have a common understanding and are positioned to work cooperatively in order to achieve desired results; Utilize/rely heavily upon communication technologies and practices that most effectively support a predominantly virtual / remote work environment;
• Ensure that the school is meeting the needs of students while complying with local, state, and federal laws, including laws pertaining to special education.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 15-30 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   

• Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, business, education or related field
• Five (5) years of education experience including two (2) years of supervisory experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of Title 1 programs and requirements
• Demonstrable leadership, organizational and time management skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); generally high level of Web proficiency.
• Ability to travel 20% of the time
• Ability to clear required background check
