The remote Title 1 Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) Assistant Behavior Coordinator provides support to the Title 1 Behavior and Instruction team by assisting with student transition plans to/from the DAEP, facilitating communication with various stakeholders and performing routine administrative duties..

This position offers a base salary around $48,000. This is an immediate position within the SY 24/25.

This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-5pm central time. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Contact school districts to obtain and verify student behavior and academic records;
  • Ensure all required documentation is collected, accurate, and securely stored in compliance with privacy laws and school policies;
  • Maintain detailed records of communication and follow-ups with school districts;
  • Gather and organize relevant data to be used in creating transition goals, supports, and services to/from the DAEP;
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders including students, parents, campus principals and district personnel to ensure all relevant information is included for use in developing individualized student transition plans to/from the DAEP;
  • Monitor the implementation of transition plans and provide follow-up support as needed to ensure the transition plan is being implemented successfully;
  • Provide administrative support to the Behavior and Instruction department (i.e. scheduling/coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes, managing calendars/email/phones calls, preparing reports/forms/other documents, maintaining accurate records/files/databases);
  • Respond to inquiries from staff, students, families, and district representatives in a timely and professional manner;
  • Assist with behavior-related program development, training sessions, and workshops by creating PowerPoints and co-hosting training as needed;
  • Analyze data provided by the Title 1 data team to track success of planned DAEP supports.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks as assigned
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in education, psychology or related field
  • Prior experience in behavior documentation, special education documentation, and TREX
