Job Description
A current vacancy exists for a STEAM Teacher at East Norriton Middle School within the Norristown Area School District. This teacher will create and sustain an educational environment conducive to the fulfillment of the District's Mission: To educate individuals of the community to be responsible, thinking, creative, literate citizens who enrich society.

* Sign On Bonus (In addition to Salary): $3,000

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year College or University
One of the following Valid and active PA Certification:
Mid level Math 4-8
Mid level Science 4-8
Technology Education Pk- 12
Computer Science
Knowledge of budgets and ability to monitor budget processes.
Strong organizational skills and strategic planning skills, pro-social collaboration, communication and planning skills, and technology skills.
Ability to be flexible, self-directed, and motivated.
FBI,Criminal Background and Child abuse clearances

Job Requirements & responsibilities:

Develops and implements daily STEAM lessons that are aligned to the Pennsylvania Standards for Science, Environment, Ecology, Technology, and Engineering (STEEL)
Plans and carry out classroom and school wide Literacy and Math activities around the area of STEAM
Collaborates with the school STEAM Team on school/district initiatives
Exercises prudent judgement
Maintains poise and composure

Maintains professional attitudes

Communicates with parents about students' progress

Demonstrates a willingness to cooperate toward District Goals

Evidences planning which reflects objectives and activities

Keeps abreast of subject and special practices

Provides appropriate instructional material to meet the student's needs

Demonstrates the ability to organize for instruction

Encourages students with appropriate reinforcement

Provides an educational atmosphere consistent with instructional goals

Utilizes appropriate strategies

Evaluates students' academic growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports

Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Schedule:

Monday- Friday

7.5 hours/ day

2024-2025 Salary Schedule:

experience calculated per contract agreement not to exceed step 10

Bachelor's - $55,649 to $71,065 (Step 10)

Bachelor's + 24 - $59,575 to $78,341 (Step 10)

Master's - $63,161 to $85,281 (Step 10)

Master's + 15 - $65,880 to $89,134 ((Step 10)

Master's + 30 - $68, 595 to $92,989 (Step 10)

Master's + 45 - $69,081 to $93,512 (Step 10)

Doctorate/Master's + 60 - $69,565 to $94,034 (Step 10)
