Assignment Details:  
  • Excelsior Run Club on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from September 9 - October 9 from 7-7:50am 
  • Scenic Heights Run Club on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from September 9 - October 9 from 7:30-8:20am

Wage: 
Primary Objective of Position:
To develop and implement a hands-on coaching curriculum for youth runners Grades 2 - 5. Based on the age of the students, instruction should include proper form and efficiency, distance training, speed training, proper warm-up, cool-down and stretching, proper training gear, nutrition and safety.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Lead instruction in school run programs; provide guidance and supervision of participants.
  2. Develop and implement fun and appropriate practice drills and games to accommodate a variety of skill levels.
  3. Help each participant develop skills to be successful.
  4. Provide a safe, caring and fun environment for participants.
  5. Establish a positive and friendly relationship with parents.
  6. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.


Job Qualifications:
  1. Must be a high school graduate, at least 18 years of age.
  2. Evidence of successful experience in working with youth.
  3. Evidence of successful teaching and/or program leadership.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of basic running skills and mechanics; coaching/instruction experience preferred.
  5. Evidence of positive interpersonal skills; ability to relate well to children and adults.
  6. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  7. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  8. Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
