Primary Objective of Position
Responsible for teaching American Red Cross Alone at Home safety classes to youth.  (Class description follows.)
 
Alone at Home: Get prepared to stay home alone, safely. You’ll learn first aid, safety procedures and what to do in severe weather. Review phone skills, explore fun snack ideas and learn interactive games and activities.
 
Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide instruction in Home Alone classes, following established curriculum and guidelines; supervise participants, and manage class environment.
2. Provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for participants.
3. Establish a positive and friendly relationship with parents.
4. Complete records and reports as needed.
5. Monitor equipment to ensure safety.
6. Ensure that all participants follow Minnetonka School District guidelines and code of conduct.
7. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
 
Job Qualifications:
1. Evidence of successful experience teaching youth.
2. Positive, enthusiastic, respectful attitude.
3. Evidence of excellent communication and organizational skills.
4. Evidence of the ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
5. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
6. Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
