30-35 hours per week, mid-May to late-August
Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Starting at $15 per hour

Primary Job Function
To assist the Youth Enrichment Program Manager in planning, organizing, supervising, and carrying out summer camps and classes for children ages 3 -18 in art, science, language, academics, leadership, and theater. Also support our large bike ride, the Tour de Tonka bike ride (August 2, 2025)). Orientation, training and mentoring is provided. 
 
Job Responsibilities: 
  1. Assist the Program Manager in overseeing all classes and programs.
  2. Assist with schedules, permits, class rosters, distribution of materials, and communication with instructors/staff. 
  3. Provide support for instructors with class materials and activities.
  4. Assist in planning activities, purchasing materials, posting signs, making field trip arrangements, and updating website.
  5. Grade exercises for correspondence courses.
  6. Maintain a master calendar of events for all program sites.
  7. Assist in leading class activities and supervising participants, as needed.
  8. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  9. Assist with day-of responsibilities for and Tour de Tonka (August 2).
 
Job Qualifications:
  1. Pursuing B.A. or B.S. in education, marketing, communications, youth development, or a related degree; or current enrollment in a similar program at an accredited college or university; juniors and seniors preferred.
  2. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills; ability to relate to both children and adults and work in a team setting.
  3. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to work with a minimal amount of supervision.
  4. Evidence of ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  5. Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
  6. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  7. Pleasant manner, helpful demeanor, and positive, friendly attitude.
  8. Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
  9. Must have reliable form of transportation.
