Primary Objective of Position:  
To empower every participant with the skills, knowledge, and confidence in their swimming ability to maintain a lifelong commitment to safety, wellness, and enjoyment in the water.

Wages:
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Coach program participants under guidance of Lead Rec Coach(es)
  2. Ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.
  3. Greet visitors and provide information on pool facilities and other Minnetonka Aquatics programs.
  4. Enforce pool policies, rules and regulations.
  5. Communicate with parents about their children’s progress.
  6. Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies.
  7. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Job Qualifications:
  1. Evidence of experience working with children. 
  2. Experience in competitive swimming preferred.
  3. Must be at least 14 years of age. 
  4. Demonstrated ability to be comfortable and confident teaching/coaching swimming.
  5. Knowledge of competitive swimming and coaching tactics. 
  6. Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
  7. Strong communication skills and positive interpersonal skills (relates well to children and adults) as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
  8. Attend 6/8 practices per session working
  9. Attentive, professional, and responsible
