Summary: The Payroll Technician supports the Payroll/Personnel Administrator in processing NWESD’s monthly payroll, maintaining accurate employee payroll records, and managing employee benefits. This role also ensures compliance with state and federal payroll regulations, prepares necessary reports, and helps interpret and implement agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent and a combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. While not required, payroll certification and experience in payroll processing is valued. WSP criminal history background clearance required.
