Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certification with required endorsements*

*One of the following endorsements is required for this vacancy:           
Generalist AND English as a Second Language Supplemental
EC - 4 or EC - 6		 Teacher of Young Children - General AND ESL Early Childhood
PK - 3
Elementary AND English as a Second Language Supplemental
PK - 6		 Core Subjects AND English as a Second Language Supplemental
EC - 6
Kindergarten
PK - KG		 Core Subjects with STR AND English as a Second Language Supplemental
EC - 6
***All Early Childhood teachers must hold ESL certification. 

AND

***All Early Childhood Teachers must also meet one of the following:
(A) a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or another early childhood education credential approved by the agency;
(B) certification offered through a training center accredited by Association Montessori Internationale or through the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education;
(C) at least eight years' experience of teaching in a nationally accredited child care program;
(D) be employed as a prekindergarten teacher in a school district that has received approval from the commissioner for the district's prekindergarten-specific instructional training plan that the teacher uses in the teacher's prekindergarten classroom; or
(E) an equivalent qualification.
