Position Overview

Will assist in instruction of students in grades 6-9 on the beginning skills needed for a variety of activities.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • An employee in this assignment is responsible for assisting the SIA staff administration and teachers by performing instructional duties, preparing classroom materials, supervising student behavior and performing clerical duties. 
  • Provides individual and group instructional support as assigned by the teacher and assists the teacher by having materials ready.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school and experience as a teacher aide or working with children
  • Ability to work under the supervision of the teacher, including following lesson plans prepared by teachers
  • Ability to work effectively with individual children and small groups, meeting the instructional objectives as established by the teacher

Salary Level: Banded Rates: Band 7 - $21.22/hourly

This part-time hourly position reports to the Supervisor of the Sumer in the Arts program

 

Additional Details

This is a part-time, non-benefited, hourly position. No guarantee of minimum hours.

 

Summer in the Arts Program Dates are 6/24/2025 – 6/30/2025, 7/1/2025 – 7/3/2025
