Middle School Writing (English) Teacher
100% FTE, 2025-26
The Position
Nueva seeks a writing (English/Language Arts) teacher for our middle school division. This constructivist educator with deep content knowledge and love of teaching reading, writing, and speaking, will team with other motivated colleagues to create dynamic cross-curricular lessons. Candidates will engage students in the writing process, offer effective feedback, and encourage deep analysis of texts. A background in teaching poetry and Shakespeare is advantageous. Strong collaboration skills are a must. Experience with project-based learning, technology integration, and curriculum development are necessary. Successful candidates will demonstrate a lifelong love of learning, depth of knowledge in literature representing diverse voices and experiences, have a sense of humor, and bring the ability to differentiate curriculum for a range of gifted learners.

Compensation
The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $77,000 - $141,800. The starting salary is based upon, but not limited to, several factors that include type and years of experience, education level, and expertise.
