Westminster Public Schools seeks Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) Specialists. Located just 15 minutes outside of downtown Denver, Westminster Public Schools is a culturally and ethnically diverse school district that offers a friendly work environment, a very competitive salary, and benefits. Teachers beginning salary starts at $62,763 per year. The beginning salary for teachers with an MA degree is $69,818 per year. Top-earning teachers may earn up to $100,000 per year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
*Possess a valid Colorado Teacher License with appropriate endorsement in the area you are teaching or obtain one prior to start.
*Must be Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) endorsed.
*Candidates with endorsements in CLDE, Bilingual Ed, Foreign Language, and/or sheltered content or other English Language instructional training desired
*Possess a strong understanding of current learning theories for ELs and state of the art pedagogy of English language acquisition.
*Experience embedding WIDA standards within CCSS for general education classrooms.
*Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff members, parents and administrators.
*Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish & English desired.
*Organizational skills.
*Has knowledge and experience of and/or willingness to gain knowledge of Competency-based education approaches.
*Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
*Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Displays a thorough knowledge of the subject matter and the District's prescribed curriculum.
*Plans instruction consistent with the District's curriculum for assigned subject areas/grade levels.
*Plans and deliver differentiated instruction and sheltered instruction to meet student needs.
*Implements continuous system of evaluations and provide students with specific feedback.
*Serves as facilitator and coordinator of learning.
*Assists with the implementation of District assessments.
*Establishes an effective system for classroom discipline per Board Policy and building regulations.
*Organizes students for effective instruction to maximize the learning time for all students.
*Fulfills contractual and professional responsibilities.
*Submits required student record reports
