MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

*Candidates with endorsements in CLDE, Bilingual Ed, Foreign Language, and/or sheltered content or other English Language instructional training desired

*Be up to date on current learning theory and state of the art pedagogy in teaching
*Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff members, parents and administrators

*Has knowledge and experience of and/or willingness to gain knowledge of Competency-based Education approaches
*Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
*Bilingual desired

*Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired

*Provides coverage for teachers who are absent throughout Westminster Public Schools

*Plans for student differences.
*Applies principles of teaching/learning to provide for student achievement.
*Adjusts instruction to meet student needs.
*Communicates effectively with learners.
*Maximizes learning time for all students.
*Displays a fair and just manner for all students.
*Communicates an effective system for classroom discipline per Board Policy and building regulations.
*Plans effectively and purposefully for the use of time, materials, and resources.
*Creates a classroom environment that promotes instruction.
*Organizes students for effective instruction.
*Demonstrates effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff members and administrators.
