Salary is INST 02 ($22.84-$26.97 per hour).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
*Associate Degree or two years of college (48 credits)
*Must pass various pre-placement background screenings
*Knowledge of multimedia and makerspaces desired
*Up to date with current technology, ability to use procedure manuals for self-instruction of District hardware, software, audiovisual operation and maintenance desired
*Experience in multi-media environments including an understanding of relevant Makerspace practices desired
*Familiarity with automated inventory systems desired
*Strong technology skills: Google Suite, troubleshoot technology issues in the building
*Good oral and written communication skills
*Willingness and flexibility to work various schedules and manage shifting priorities
*Detail oriented
*Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
*Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Assists teachers, students, and other personnel in researching materials for use in the classroom for the purpose of enhancing classroom assignments and projects.
*Assists with independent study and computerized learning programs (e.g. LexiaCore 5/Power Up, Successmaker, Code.org) for the purpose of ensuring maximum use of programs and compliance with program requirements.
*Collaborates with teachers in instructional activities that develop 21st century skills
*Collaborates with other educators to build and strengthen connections between student information and research needs, curricular content, learning outcomes and information resources.
*Guides students to become critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers and ethical users of information
*Assists in instructing and supervising students in the elective/specials rotations under the guidance of licensed staff
*Collaborates with teachers to provide learning opportunities for students on current classroom topics
*Operates, maintains, guides, instructs, and troubleshoots on various computer systems
*Provides guidance to our community (students, staff, parents and community members) in the use of media/makerspace systems
*Works under pressure to accomplish varying types of work despite frequent interruptions
*Must be able to effectively communicate, both in verbal and written form, with students, staff, and parents.
*Respects the confidentiality of staff and students and understands privacy issues within the school.
*Performs other duties as assigned
