CalWest Required Qualifications - ABachelor’s Degreeand/or other educational requirements listed on the job description - Requisite skills commensurate with the position - A reasonable commuting distance to the CalWest client school, or a willingness to relocate - Authorization to live and work in the United States Client School Preferred Qualifications - A bachelor’s degree is required. - Master’s degree and experience working with secondary school students preferred. - Strong classroom management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Dedication to creating an inclusive and diverse learning environment. - Experience working with middle school students is a plus. Responsibilities - Teaching classical mechanics alongside a rotation of thematic classes at the middle school and high school levels. - Ensure lesson plans are engaging and active, which supports a positive classroom management program. - Additional responsibilities include mentoring independent projects and teaching mini-courses related to physics or the successful candidate’s interests. - Foster creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and activities. - Encourage collaboration and teamwork among students on physics projects.
