A current vacancy exists for a Special Education, Autistic Support Teacher at Norristown Area High School. 

* Sign On Bonus (In addition to Salary): $3,000

* Special Education Additional Stipend: $1,000 

Qualifications: 

• PA Special Education Certification 
• Bachelor's degree in Education 
• Experience working with special education students preferred
• FBI, PA Criminal Background and Child Abuse clearances
• Bilingual in Spanish Preferred 

Duties & Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains IEP compliance.

• Maintains accurate data on students daily progress

• Maintains poise and composure.

• Conducts FBAs and implement PBSPs. 

• Maintains professional attitude.

• Communicates with parents about students’ progress.

• Demonstrates appropriate language.

• Demonstrates a willingness to cooperate toward District goals. 

• Evidences planning which reflects objectives, diverse learners, and activities.

• Keeps abreast of subject and special practices.

• Provides appropriate instructional material to meet the students' needs.

• Demonstrates the ability to organize for instruction.

• Encourages students with appropriate reinforcement.

• Provides an educational atmosphere consistent with instructional goals.

• Provides for individual student differences.

• Utilizes appropriate teaching and behavior modification strategies.

Schedule: 

Monday- Friday
