Demonstrate knowledge and willingness to grow in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of stations, adhering to food safety standards and best practices.
Utilize the dish machine and pot sink to clean all dishes used within the kitchen and for events
Ensure clean storage and organization of dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, etc.
Efficiently set up and remove food service equipment, table materials, and serving lines.
Report all breakage to management
Sweep and mop floors between functions and at the end of the day, or when asked by management
Contribute creative solutions and improvements to enhance the kitchen's performance and the dining experience.
Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by and in support of the Head of School.
Requirements:
Minimum high school education or equivalent preferred.
At least 6 months experience cooking and dishwashing preferred
ServSafe certification, or willingness to obtain certification
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
A strong work ethic and commitment to positively impacting our community
