Job summary

Responsible for coordinating activities of the school library and providing quality services, planning and implementing school policy in relation to the library service to achieve an efficient and developed library program that performs well. This role involves:
• organizing and managing the school library with systems and setting best use policies
• guiding/assisting users
• training staff, volunteers and student aids
• selecting, acquiring, maintaining and promoting resources to meet the needs of all ages and subjects
• supporting classroom and professional development needs of the staff while advising on best-value suppliers
• managing the budget and preparing recommendations to the Principals on the school curriculum
• keeping inventory records
• working with the PTO to provide events
• following the child protection procedures
• carrying out other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications and requirements

Has a Bachelor Degree with 1-3 years of experience. Is organized and detailed oriented. Has good command of English and Chinese for national staff.
