Description:   
                      Performs mechanical work as required

                       Maintains an operational log of all school board vehicles

                      Keeps current inventory and accounting of tools and equipment required for job
                           performance

                     Observes parish policies regarding punctuality and absenteeism

                      Abides by the rules and regulations found in the St. Martin Parish Policy
                           Handbook

                    Assumes other related responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor of
                         Operations

TERMS OF EMPLOMENT: Twelve months per year; 5 days per week

EVALUATOR: Supervisor of Operations

Job Summary:  To assure maximum operational condition of all gas

                           and diesel powered equipment
 
Qualifications:  1. High School Graduate
                           2. Five (5) years of more of automotive experience
                               as an automotive mechanic
                          3.  Possess a CDL with school bus endoresment

Working Conditions:  Twelve months per year; 5 days per week
