Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Team with building administrators and teacher leaders to develop a systemic approach that ensures appropriate interventions for students needing additional reading and academic support.
Collaborate with PLC teams to support data driven analysis and decisions related to tiered intervention.
Collaborate with Building Leadership Team, PLCs, and/or the Student Support Team to identify needs, to develop academic interventions, and support implementation of MTSS processes at MMW.
Coordinate and provide targeted literacy-based interventions for identified students.
Lead the progress monitoring of students receiving interventions for academic performance in reading and other academic areas.
Work with administration and counselors to disaggregate assessment data to develop appropriate instructional responses.
Provide literacy, academic, and classroom support and/or consultation with teachers, parents and administrators, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities:
Facilitate the evaluation, development, and implementation of tiered interventions based on student need.
Lead, monitor, and design responses to student academic achievement data.
Facilitate meetings with parents, staff, and/or students.
Coach PLC teams on data integration and analysis.
Collaborate with teams on data management and intervention development and implementation.
Provide interventions for students in collaboration with the student support team, administration, counselors, and teachers.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong curriculum background with experience teaching core content curriculum and teaching strategies.
Previous experience teaming with special and regular education staff.
Experience with providing developmental skill instruction in the areas of reading, language arts, math and social skills curriculum.
