Coordinates activities within the TUSD School Garden Network, focusing primarily on the Food Literacy Program which connects K-12 students to nutrition and culinary education. This role involves planning and implementing engaging, hands-on learning experiences, leading professional development for
educators, and fostering collaborations with community partners. Responsibilities also include program reporting and other activities related to school garden network program expansion. A strong background in nutrition and garden-to-table initiatives is preferred for this role.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree
AND
Four years of experience administering or coordinating programs related to nutrition, culinary education, food systems or gardening and public health.
OR
Eight (8) years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs related to nutrition, culinary education, food systems or gardening and public health.
Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
One (1) year of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Some positions within this classification may require some type of certification.
