The Coordinator, Safety supports the leadership of the Department of Risk, Safety and Environmental and provides supervision to Safety Specialists and other subordinates, while developing, coordinating, and implementing the division safety program. This role involves interviewing and assessing prospective employees, recommending personnel actions, and ensuring compliance with School Board, county, state, and federal laws and regulations. The Coordinator communicates with various stakeholders to resolve safety issues, administers the division�s fire inspection and playground safety programs, and oversees related construction projects. Additionally, the Coordinator investigates safety concerns, provides strategic recommendations, and ensures effective emergency response services. Serving as a liaison with external agencies, the Coordinator supports departmental budget management, oversees contracted work, and manages project expenditures. The role requires availability for emergency duty assignments and maintaining positive relations with all School Division staff, community, and governmental agencies.
