The Title 1 funded Instructional Data Specialist manipulates, analyzes and communicates data in a manner that facilitates removing barriers between campus and parents and increases parents’ engagement resulting in closing the academic gaps between students who are at-risk and the general population.

This position offers a base salary around $60,000.

This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-5pm central time. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Design and produce weekly reports for Title 1 education program and HB1416 tutorial;
  • Report students’ attendance to TEA for state accountability;
  • Support campus data requests, e.g. Title 1 HB1416, ad hoc principal requests, etc.;
  • Analyze data for program effectiveness and collaborate to present data regarding program effectiveness;
  • Track growth measures on beginning of year, middle of year and end of year and interims as needed;
  • Compile student academic information for intervention program and maintain a database of students active in the program;
  • Perform duties that supplement student success in any area other than the regular education program, e.g. parent/family liaison;
  • Train/assist train students and parents on how to read student state accountability results;
  • Support in-person state testing as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience with data analysis including developing reports and dashboards
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient with Power BI
  • Proficient with Access or similar database
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, training and to support in-person state testing
  • Ability to clear required background check

  • Valid Texas Teacher Certification
