Description
The HI Tutor will focus on the individual academic [Reading/Hebrew Language] needs and deficiencies of identified students, establish a course of action to provide intensive individualized 1:1 tutoring, and help students achieve significant progress in a short period.
Role & Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning goals, as designated by the school and parents.
· Develop customized lesson plans with goals that target the student's specific needs, deficiencies, and learning styles.
· Deliver intense, interactive 1:1 tutoring sessions that promote deep understanding, critical thinking, fluency, and problem-solving skills in the chosen subject.
· Monitor student progress closely, analyze data, and adjust lesson plans accordingly to maximize learning outcomes within the T1 Funds’ program timeframe and criteria.
· Communicate effectively and timely with students, parents, and teachers to discuss progress, collaborate on learning strategies, and ensure alignment with expectations.
· Adhere to Title 1 compliance requirements (i.e., documentation, reporting) as set forth by the NJ Department of Education and Catapult Learning.
· Additional responsibilities as needed and determined by the Instructional Program Supervisor and/or Area Manager.
Qualifications:
· Strong expertise in [Reading/Math/Hebrew Language] instruction, and a passion for helping struggling students excel in learning.
· Experience providing high-quality, 1:1 tutoring in designated subject, with a successful track record of helping students achieve significant progress in a short time frame.
· In-depth knowledge of various learning styles and methodologies to personalize instruction effectively.
· Must be personable, caring, and professional in their interactions with students, parents and faculty. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Requirements:
· Must possess a BA or MA in Education or related discipline.
· Has at least 3 years of teaching and/or private tutoring experience.
· CEAS or Standard Certification desired, but not required.
· Work directly and regularly with Catapult Instructional Supervisor and AM to provide updates, get guidance, or receive additional direction when needed.
