ACADEMIC TUTOR NEEDED:

Catapult Learning is in search of an Title I Reading Tutor at a private high school in Richmond, VA. This is an hourly position for a licensed teacher seeking part-time work (15-20 hours/ week). Tutors will provide academic tutoring to small groups of eligible students during the school day. Great position for a retired teacher needing a few hours a week! 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Provide instructional supplemental tutorial services with the necessary expertise in math.
  • Ensure supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from Company classroom or to mobile classroom.
  • Establish and maintain electronic student files as required including parent permission, lesson plans, and end of program progress report.
  • Record daily attendance in STARS electronic system.
  • Maintain communication with classroom teachers of students, school officials, and parents of students.
QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Must be licensed to teach English or similar subject by VA Department of Education
Teaching experience preferred
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills. Attend training with Company supervisors as required by Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
