QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certification with required endorsements
Preferred: 
  • Three years of successfully teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students at the elementary level
  • Experience in multiple grade levels PK-5 
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Expertise in second language acquisition and culturally responsive pedagogy
  • Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of LPAC on campus
  • Experience with using the ELLevation Education platform for compliance and/or instructional purposes preferred
  • Experience preparing and maintaining EL program documentation as required by state and federal mandates preferred
  • Experience with the implementation of Elementary EL programs
  • Ability to guide and coach teachers in the effective implementation of strategies and best practices for English learners
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position
