Preferred: - Three years of successfully teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students at the elementary level
- Experience in multiple grade levels PK-5
Special Knowledge/Skills: - Expertise in second language acquisition and culturally responsive pedagogy
- Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of LPAC on campus
- Experience with using the ELLevation Education platform for compliance and/or instructional purposes preferred
- Experience preparing and maintaining EL program documentation as required by state and federal mandates preferred
- Experience with the implementation of Elementary EL programs
- Ability to guide and coach teachers in the effective implementation of strategies and best practices for English learners
- Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position
