Description: 

QUALIFICATIONS:
          Required

 
  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • Valid Texas certification in school counseling
  • Minimum of two (2) years of successful classroom teaching experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of counseling experience
       
       Preferred
  • Evidence of leadership or state-level counseling association experience
 
        Special Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and knowledge of the types of services provided by counselors.
  • Technology skills, including computer skills, Microsoft applications
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one, small groups, and larger group situations to students, parents, and staff
  • Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development
 
      Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide temporary coverage in a counselor position
  • Responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated by district policies and procedures on a day-to-day basis
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function

Incentive extra $10 Tues-Thurs for 2024-25 school year (this is a temporary incentive)
Counselor-Elementary $150

Incentive extra $20 on Mon & Friday for 2024-25 school year (this is a temporary incentive)
