Must possess current Lifeguard, First Aid, AED and Advanced CPR Certifications
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Must pass a criminal background
American Red Cross or Ellis certification, REQUIRED
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ensures patron safety by strictly enforcing rules and regulations
Performs CPR, Rescue Breathing or First Aid as needed
Informs Pool Manager of unsafe conditions or activity inside and the areas surrounding the facility
Informs Pool Manager of needed material and equipment
Performs daily and weekly pool maintenance including vacuuming and brushing sides of pool, and other preventative maintenance tasks
Cleans, maintains and protects assigned GISD resources and facilities
Ensures lifeguard certifications remain current
Experience:
1 year lifeguarding experience preferred
