Primary Purpose: Through a unique partnership between Concordia University Texas and Leander Independent School District, high potential LISD teachers have the opportunity to earn their Master of Education degree with a specialization in Education Administration. Unlike other programs, the LISD Aspiring Leader curriculum offers district-specific coursework, preparing students to advance in their careers with a distinctly LISD- oriented approach.
LISD Aspiring Leaders will attend courses at Concordia campus taught not only by stellar Concordia University Texas faculty, but by their own LISD leadership. Students will complete a campus-specific project, focusing on school and district improvement and growth. The project will ensure their capstone is truly relevant to their day-to-day work, while providing key insights for LISD leadership.
