Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday; additional hours as needed; schedule may occasionally vary due to events or school needs
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with teammates, administrators, and teachers
Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.
Essential Functions:
Maintenance and repairs: Inspecting and identifying equipment and systems that need maintenance or repairs, and performing those repairs. This can include routine maintenance, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Building upkeep: Cleaning and maintaining facilities, including floors, elevators, stairs, and entryways.
Setups: Assist with setups for events including moving furnishings and equipment.
Safety: Follow safety rules and wear protective equipment, such as eye protection and gloves. Completes assigned tasks safely and timely according to supervisor’s instructions
Scheduling: Scheduling repairs and maintenance, and keeping a record of work performed.
Supplies: Ordering supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance.
Equipment: Operates various types of equipment/machinery which may include buffer, automatic floor machines, burnishers, backpack vacuums, Kivacs, wet and dry vacuums, commercial vacuums, buckets, wringers, carts, hand trucks, rotos, blowers, extractors, washing machines, dryers, lifts, ladders, and various tools.
Vehicles: Maintaining vehicles, such as adjusting tire pressure, cleaning windows, and checking fluid levels.
Compliance: Following local and state building codes, and company safety regulations.
Communication: Reporting issues to the Facilities Team Lead.
Collaboration: Collaborating with the facilities team and contractors as needed.
Support the school and its mission.
Perform other duties as assigned by and in support of the Head of School.
Physical Demands:
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 25 pounds
