Salary: $55,140 – $98,557 (Plus an annual $10,000 retention bonus)

Client School Preferred Qualifications
- Single-subject teaching credential in the area of posting – Science (Biology, Chemistry or Health Sciences)
- EL Authorization (Required)

Responsibilities
- Plans rigorous, engaging instruction aligned to the school’s instructional model and driven by the applicable standards
- Incorporates a variety of strategies and resources to respond to students’ diverse needs and interests, including prescribed educational software and curriculum
- Facilitates learning experiences that promote autonomy, interaction, and student choice
- Engages students in problem solving, critical thinking, and meaning-making
- Designs and administers assessments and uses assessment data to refine curricula and inform instruction and intervention
- Implements Positive Behavior Support strategies and Restorative Practices to develop a safe and nurturing classroom community
- Reinforces school-wide rules, policies, and expectations in and outside of the classroom
- Ensures the rights of all students are observed and protected through the use of appropriate and respectful communication, proper de-escalation techniques, and the use of nonviolent crisis intervention strategies when required
- Communicates frequently with students’ families through multiple means, including (but not limited to) progress reports, conferences, family events, and phone calls.
- Collaborates with colleagues, including teachers, administrators, and instructional coaches
- Engages in ongoing learning through regular professional development and collaboration, including grade-level, department, and PLC meetings
- Completes other tasks as directed by school administrators
