This position is responsible for division-wide Title IX compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and related School Board policies and regulations prohibiting non-discrimination and harassment of PWCS students and staff. This position develops and implements professional development/trainings and protocols regarding all sexual misconduct, sex-based discrimination, and harassment prevention involving students and staff. The Title IX Coordinator will design communications, resources, and supports to ensure PWCS staff and students understand their rights, and where applicable, their responsibilities under the law. This position is responsible for determining how to respond to Title IX complaints, including recommendations for investigation and the resolution of complaints. This position also collaborates with PWCS leadership to identify and address systemic challenges to climate and culture within PWCS schools and departments. The Title IX Coordinator also has oversight of the Division�s compliance with other federal non-discrimination statutes as they apply to PWCS students and/or staff, with the exception of those laws governing the provision of special education services, which are the responsibility of the Associate Superintendent for Special Education. This position will oversee the resolution of all student complaints of Title IX discrimination or harassment, report such findings, and make recommendations to the administration on preventing recurrence. This position monitors and compiles data relating to all Title IX compliance and implementation efforts, analyzes such data, and reports findings to the administration. This position is responsible for drafting and updating applicable policies and regulations and provides guidance and training for the Superintendent�s staff and PWCS employees on Title IX compliance issues affecting students and staff. This position is responsible, in collaboration with the Office of Division Counsel, for coordinating the Division�s response to any formal complaints filed with any local, state, or federal administrative agency alleging discrimination or harassment of students. This position will lead the implementation of this work through the PWCS Vision 2025 strategic plan, and subsequent plans, as well as the PWCS diversity, equity, and inclusion and compliance frameworks.
