Food Services Staff
Job Summary:
As a School Food Service Employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students receive nutritious and delicious meals in a safe and welcoming environment. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness in the cafeteria, and providing excellent customer service to students and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals according to school guidelines and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cafeteria, kitchen, and serving areas
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies and equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service to students and staff
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager or Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Required: Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating serving sizes
- Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Previous experience in food service, with a minimum of 2-4 years in a school cafeteria setting
- Preferred: ServSafe Food Handler certification or equivalent
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
