Campus Operations Liaison

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Campus Operations Liaison is responsible for coordinating daily substitute teacher assignments and ensuring classroom coverage in collaboration with department heads. This role supervises campus areas, including parking lots, hallways, and lunch periods, to maintain student safety and enforce school policies. Additionally, the coordinator monitors student permissions for leaving campus, assists with tardy check-ins, and provides support during bus arrivals and dismissals. The position requires maintaining professional relationships with staff and students while upholding ethical standards and school-wide behavior expectations. Other duties may be assigned by the Principal.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in a high school setting with students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds is preferred.

Coordinate daily building substitute teachers for each department.

Collaborate with department heads to ensure substitutes are assigned for all classes when teachers are absent.

Supervise parking lots daily, ensuring students are parking in assigned spots, and manage parking violations through ongoing communication with students, family members, and House Vice Principals.

Supervise the campus daily to ensure students leaving have permission or are exercising Senior or Junior privileges appropriately.

Supervise bus arrivals and dismissals daily.

Direct traffic during drop-off and pick-up daily.

Assist with checking in students who are tardy to school.

Supervise breakfast and lunch as assigned.

Provide daily hallway supervision.

Develop and maintain professional and positive relationships with building and district staff.

Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.

Reinforce school-wide behavior and learning expectations for all students.

Assist students and faculty with all school-based safety and emergency evacuation procedures.
Perform other operational duties as assigned by the Principal.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move about and may be required to traverse occasionally throughout the school building. The employee must also often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is expected to lift at least 20 lbs (i.e. books, school supplies, etc.). The employee must frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and use hand strength to grasp tools. Occasionally s/he operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). The employee must be able to input information into a computer and as well as read material from a computer monitor as well as handwritten or printed matter with or without visual aids. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members in person and on the telephone. In the classroom, the employee must be able to see and hear on a continuous basis in order to ensure the safety of students as well as speak frequently to provide instruction. On rare occasions, it may be necessary to move quickly across even or uneven surfaces. The employee will be working in a normal school environment with an acceptable level of noise. The employee interacts with students, parents, and other staff members. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.
